Africa Video Clip

In the video clip only boys are able to go to school. Girls on the other hand are to stay at home and cook and clean. They are not allowed the education that the men were allowed. It is said that they can not do what men are able to. Therfore thay stay home and clean all day like women shouid or are supposed to. The video explains how all people white or black, man or woman, should be treated equally, meaning everyone gets the same education. They acted out a play of a family who wouldn't let there daughter go to school, and of a family that did. Then they pretended it was the future. The one daughter was now a doctor while the other was nothing. She couldn't do anything even if she wanted to now. It just proves that women can be sucessful like anyone else. By neglecting them of an education, you are bringing down a life. Women should be able to go to school. They are human like you and me. Given the chance they can do whatever it is that they want to do. At the end of the movie, Binta's father's idea is revealed. It also does suprise me. I didn't really have expectations for his idea. His idea consisted of adoptting a child. To where he can grow up and become succussful. Soda's father won't allow her to attend school because she is a woman. In his point of view, women need to stay home to clean, work, and cook. He sees no point for women attending because it doesn't do good for them. With the whole Ssouleyman issue, I have no idea what that issue was about.

My name is Mike Wasag. I'm eighteen years old and graduated from Shepard highschool On May 22. My height is 5 ft. 10 in. and i weigh about 180 pounds. I have blue eyes and blondish brown hair. Baseball is my favorite sport. I've played for ten years and the White Sox is my favorite team. I swam for four years in highschool and swam varsity for three and a half years. I'm attending Moraine to further my education so I can become a firefighter and paramedic. I'm very independent and like working on my own for the most part. I just want to become successful in life to where I can support a family of my own one day. I want to be able to prove everyone wrong and I can do what I want. My mom's name is Debbie. I have one brother who is younger and his name is Joey. I have two German Shepards named Bandit and Bella and a betta fish named Flare. My favorite animal(s) is wolves and monkeys. Wolves are just like dogs in a way. They are very bold, cunning, and fast. They do what it takes to survive. Monkeys are just like us. They are funny and amazing climbers. They are able to be free and just climb a tree to get away from everything. I feel like I do my best at everything and I listen so I don't mess up. I'm also very competitive.
